Maria E. Valdez

Maria E. Valdez, Age 88 passed away peacefully on Saturday November 1st, 2008.  Originally from Canjilon, and a lifelong New Mexico resident who loved the outdoors and animals.  She and her husband Porfirio Valdez were married for 50 years before his death in 1989.  Maria is preceded in death by her husband and two sons: Manuel Valdez and Porfirio “Fabian” Valdez. She is Survived by her sons: Levi Valdez and wife Isabelle of Pojoaque and Nelson D. Valdez of San Pedro. Grandchildren; Manuel Valdez, Tanya Valdez-Topete, Jason Carlos Valdez, Angela Valdez, Daniel L. Valdez and 14 great grandchildren and other relatives.  Recitation of the Rosary was held on Monday evening, The Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at 10am at La Iglesia De Santa Cruz De La Canada, with interment following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
