FLORA LOPEZ

FLORA LOPEZ, 62, a lifelong resident of Cordova passed away on Monday, November 24, 2008 surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her grandparents that raised her, Vidal and Rosarito Trujillo; father, Fedelino Romero and very special uncle, Crisol Trujillo. Flora was a member of El Coro De La Sagrada Familia de Chimayo and a faithful parishioner of Holy Family Church in Chimayo. Flora was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Deacon Jose Lopez of Cordova; children, Diana Candelaria and husband Gilbert, Veronica Pacheco and fiancé Jerry Martinez all of Española, Joseph Lopez and wife Roberta of Ojo Caliente, Patricia Lopez and Nicole Pacheco both of Cordova; mother, Priscilla Romero; brother and sisters, Mary Rascon and husband Carlos of Alcalde, Vicky Romero, Gilbert Romero and wife Carol all of Cordova, Rose Lujan and husband Walter of Ojo Caliente and Brenda Rael and husband Genaro of Truchas; grandchildren, Danny Jr., Dominic, Angelica, Analise, Adriana, Megan, Rudy, Joseph and Isabella and numerous nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Public visitation was Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial followed at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
