HORACIO R. ROMERO

HORACIO R. ROMERO, 47, a resident of Nambe, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose C. Romero; maternal grandparents, Gregorio and Beronis Lopez and paternal grandparents, Atanacio and Petra Romero. Mr. Romero is survived by his mother, Virginia L. Romero; sons, Gregory Romero and Joseph Romero; brothers, Pete Romero and wife Angie, George Romero and wife Virginia; sisters, Erlinda Key and husband Richard, Loyola Garcia and husband Raymond, Dolores Romero, Marlene Lujan and husband Charlie, Patricia Martinez and husband Albert, Roberta Martinez and husband Asencion; God-mother, Ruperta Lopez; God-daughter, Stacey Romero and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation was Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, NM. The Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe with burial at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.  The following served as Pallbearers; Rick Romero, Michael Romero, Leroy Lopez, Louie Romero, Ida Trujillo, Lonnie Martinez, and Amie Martinez.  The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers; Lovato Family, Guillermo Garduño, Johnny and Fernando Valdez, Leonard Lopez, and Michael Montoya.   The Romero family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477 or www.devargasfuneral.com
