Mabel Pauline Mascareñas, 44, Dixon, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan V. Pacheco; father of her son, Valeriano Pacheco; father, Joe H. War Sr. and brother, Joe H. War Jr.
Mrs. Mascareñas is survived by her mother, Maie Maestas, Española; husband, Rodney Mascareñas; daughters, Amanda and Anna Mascareñas, all of Dixon; one grandson; brothers and sisters, Benny Vigil, Bertha Baca, Jimmy, Gary, Mary Jane, Lillian Coca, Lorraine Romero, Rose and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Public visitation will begin today (11/20) at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated Friday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española.
Burial will follow at the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Dixon with the following serving as pallbearers, Benny and Matthew Vigil, Anthony and Erick Baca, Joseph Archuleta and Brian Maestas. Honorary pallbearers named are, Doreen and Samantha Baca.
