The Carson, Cibola and Santa Fe National Forests are hosting a series of grant writing workshops to assist individuals or organizations interested in submitting a grant proposal for the 2009 Collaborative Forest Restoration Program.
Proposals are due March 2, 2009.
Workshops will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following locations:
• Nov. 18: Santa Fe National Forest Conference Room, 1474 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe
• Nov. 20: Carson National Forest Conference Room, 208 Cruz Alta Road, Taos
• Nov. 25: Cibola National Forest Conference Room, 2113 Osuna Road NE, Albuquerque
• Dec. 2: Española Ranger District, 1710 N. Riverside Drive, Española
The Program was signed into law in 2000 to provide cost-share grants of up to $360,000 to stakeholders for projects on public lands that reduce the threat of wildfire, improve watershed conditions, and provide jobs and training to local communities.
