Stella L. Clay
entered into eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the age on 57.
Stella was born in Santa Fe, NM, on Sept. 14, 19051, to Jose and Mary R. Cata. She was a member of Earlsboro Indian Baptist Mission.
Stella was a faithful servant of the Lord and a loving mother. She was a kind hearted and giving woman who loved the Lord. She enjoyed working in the church, singing in the choir, sharing her testimony, going on mission trips, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gregorio Tapia and Cecilio Cata.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and James Taylor of Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Chris Jones of Holdenville, OK; son, Joseph P. Clay Jr. of Shawnee; and five grandchildren, Jace, Ryan, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Josiah, and Noah; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jerry Taylor; sister, Carol Ann Cata; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Mabel Cata; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jackie Gonzales; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Rachel Agoyo, all are residents of New Mexico; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Wake service was Monday, Dec. 22 at 6pm. Funeral service was at 10 am Tuesday, Dec. 23, at First Indian Baptist Church in Shawnee with the Rev. Gary Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.
