ABIQUIU LAKE: Fishing was slow for all species.
CHAMA RIVER: Monday morning the water flows below El Vado and Abiquiú dams were 179 cubic feet per second and 216 cubic feet per second, respectively. Fishing pressure continued to be light this past week, but there were a few rainbows caught by anglers using salmon eggs fishing below El Vado. The fishing below Abiquiú Lake was slow.
HERON LAKE: Bank fishing was fair using salmon eggs and roe sacs for rainbow trout.
JEMEZ WATERS: The water flow on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs as of Monday morning was 24 cubic feet per second. Trout fishing below Battleship Rock was fair using salmon eggs and copper john bars. Fishing on the East Fork River and the Rio Cebolla was slow.
NAVAJO LAKE: Fishing was slow for all species.
RIO GRANDE: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 501 cubic feet per second. Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs and streamers.
SAN JUAN RIVER: The water flow below Navajo Lake as of Monday morning was fair using egg patterns, midge pupae, San Juan worms and small streamers. Fishing through the bait waters was fair using Kastmasters, salmon eggs and copper john bars.
SANTA CRUZ LAKE: The trout fishing was good early last week using power bait, salmon eggs and spoons.
