Woman Tries To Break Police Door
Monday, Dec. 29
• 4:40 a.m. — State Police requested Española Police detox a woman picked up near Center Market who would give only her first name and was wandering around the parking lot. They called a second time because she was trying to break the door at the State Police headquarters. She was detoxed.
• 8:21 p.m. — A caller requested police check on a man pacing inside the Española Post Office. Police advised the homeless man he couldn’t sleep at the post office.

Revenge
Tuesday, Dec. 30
• 12:25 p.m. — A caller said someone on a bicycle in front of Lowe’s Super Save had two small children in a basket who were not strapped in. They couldn’t be found.
• 1:55 p.m. — A Wendy’s employee said a man was threatening the staff and damaged a sign. He was gone when police arrived.
• 3:19 p.m. — The New Mexico Office Products store owner said his car’s tires were punctured, and he knew who did it. He said he suspected his tenant’s cousin. He had asked the cousin why the unit’s doors were wide open and the heater was blasting, and the cousin got upset and was asked to leave the area. Police took a report for criminal damage to property.
Man without Pants Wednesday, Dec. 31
• 9:30 a.m. — A caller said someone in space 15 at Milagro Village Mobile Home Park was intoxicated. When the caller brought it up to the tenant the subject became rowdier. The caller said everyone in the space appeared to be drunk. The unwanted people refused to open the door for police, and the park owner said he would serve them with an eviction notice.
• 12:55 p.m. — An Ohkay Express Market caller said a man was standing by the doorway with his pants down. Police contacted the employee, who said she did not see anything except his pants fall. The man could not be located.
• 2:22 p.m. — A Highway 84 caller said some construction workers took her diamond jewelry. The construction workers requested police do a civil standby so they could retrieve their tools. They did not want to do so without a police escort because of the accusations the caller had made against them.
• 5:13 p.m. — A caller reported a theft of several rugs from Centinela Traditional Arts in Chimayó. The store owner went to the suspect’s house and retrieved one rug but the suspect had already sold another. The caller said he just wanted an officer to have a talk with the thief.
• 11:22 p.m. — A Santa Clara Apartments caller said a man in the hallway was asking people for syringes. He couldn’t be found.

Restraining Order
Thursday, Jan. 1
• 1:39 a.m. — An East Kennedy Avenue caller said a woman was out of control. In the background a woman could be heard yelling, “Who are you calling?” Buttons were pressed and the caller hung up. The woman was detoxed.
• 2:14 a.m. — A caller said when she was walking by Matilda’s Restaurant, a man was trying to make her go with him. A man could be heard walking in the background. They couldn’t be found.
• 3:16 a.m. — A North Prince Drive caller said her son was acting up and starting fights with everyone at the house. No report was taken.
• 5:29 p.m. — A Hernandez caller said an individual violated a 100-year-old restraining order she had against him, because her mother saw him in the area. The call was transferred to another agency.
• 8:38 p.m. — A Rio Arriba County Road 57 caller said his neighbor and his wife were fighting and he heard some shots fired. He said his neighbor deals heroin, marijuana, pills and other drugs. Police weren’t able to verify whether any shots were fired nor could they locate the house.

Friday, Jan. 2
• 9:09 a.m. — A Tesuque Drive caller said he wanted to leave his house peacefully, but his wife would not give him her money. A woman could be heard in the background saying she lived in the County and if an officer showed up she would sue the Police Department. The man was taken to a domestic violence crisis center.
• 11:34 a.m. — A Calle Martinez caller said his kitchen door was broken by a burglar who took his medication. Police took a report.
• 4:05 p.m. — An F and A Self-Storage employee said an old tenant broke into a storage locker and took stuff they had been arguing about. Police took a report.
• 10:42 p.m. — A County Road 251 caller said he lifted a paper from his daughter’s room and it was a recipe for a pipe bomb. He said he would bring the recipe by the office.
• 10:58 p.m. — A woman came to State Police headquarters to say her brother-in-law was threatening her and told her if she “wanted to (expletive) with his family the gate was open.” The officer advised the woman that there was nothing he could do unless she disclosed the names of the people involved.

Saturday, Jan. 3
• 8:15 a.m. — An Hoy Alcohol Treatment Center caller said a man showed up for class extremely intoxicated and left running south. The Adult Probation Office was notified.
• 11:01 a.m. — A State Road 76 caller said she wanted a man at her house removed because he was coming over at night and damaging her wall. Police determined the wall damage was caused by the weather.
• 12:54 p.m. — A Camino Abuelita caller said a man was driving around screaming gang vulgarities. He could not be found.
• 6:00 p.m. — A Shadowwood Lane caller said his ex-girlfriend violated a restraining order by texting him twice. Police took a report.
• 6:54 p.m. — The Shadowood Lane caller said his ex-girlfriend kept calling. He was advised that police already took a report and couldn’t do anything else.
• 7:07 p.m. — A Pizza Hut employee said a man was very irate about his order and was standing right in front of the register yelling very loudly. The caller didn’t want to give a description because the man was standing right in front of her, and she didn’t want to make him any more upset. He was given a refund and no report was taken.
Rude Mental Patient
Sunday, Jan. 4
• 10:27 a.m. — A Wal-Mart customer said he just bought a new chain saw and someone stole it from the seat of his truck. A report was taken.
• 2:36 p.m. — An Española Hospital caller said a man in the waiting room was being very rude. Dispatch determined he had recently been released from the Santa Fe County Jail after being arrested for resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and was a mental patient. An informational report was taken.
• 11:46 p.m. — A Calle Chacoma Vista caller said a male driver ran him off the road on State Road 291 and said he was going to get a gun and shoot him and vandalize his house. The caller was advised to get a restraining order.
