Gurule— Frank B. Gurule

was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the age of 88.  Frank was a WWII Veteran who served in the US Army and was awarded a Purple Heart Medal and Bronze star for his service.   Frank was a member of DAV, VFW, PVA and also was a member of the Baptist Church.  He was preceded by his beloved wife Bertha Gurule, a son Gerald Gurule, and daughter Rebecca Gurule.  He is survived by his eleven children; Arnold Gurule, Eileen Johnson and husband Robert, Frank E. Gurule, Daniel Gurule, John Gurule and wife Blanca, Rosalie Salgado and husband Juan, Rick Gurule, Carol Gurule, Paul Gurule and wife Cissi, Elizabeth Gurule, and David Gurule.  Five brothers; Abel Valdez, Henry Gurule and wife Vi, Lucio Gurule and wife Dolores, Felipe Gurule and wife Ann, Manuel Gurule and wife Sophie.  34 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 4, 2009 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm in the 8th street chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 pm. Final visitations will be Thursday, February 5, 2009 9:00am to 10:00 am at Friendship Baptist Church, with a funeral service following at 10:00am.  Interment for Frank will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.    Pallbearers will be David Gurule, Gerald Gurule, Paul Gurule, Lawrence Tenorio, Rosalie Salgado, and JJ Kean.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray Sanchez and Jolyn Sanchez.  Those who wish to send condolences may do so at: www.danielsfuneral.com  Services are entrusted to: Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover SW, Albuquerque, New Mexico, 505-243-5222
