JUAN C. MONTOYA,

82, a resident of Dixon, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2009 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amado and Lucia R. Montoya; uncles, Hipolito and George Rendon; aunts, Julia Maes and Tonita Chavez. Mr. Montoya is survived by his nephews, Joseph Black and wife Gia and Roger Valdez and wife Yvonne; aunt, Lourdes Rendon; cousins, Mabel Valdez, Grace Martinez and husband Lebeo all of Dixon and Fidel Rendon and wife Mabel of Velarde; half brothers and sisters, Jose Ignacio Montoya of Embudo, Ernado and Elie Montoya, Stella Medina all of California, Lorraine Sanchez of Dixon and Ida Montoya of California and many other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation was Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. also at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial followed at the Dixon Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Joseph Black Jr., Kevin and Michael Rendon, Miguel Espinosa, Rick Rendon and Manuel Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers named are, Ivan Archuleta, Jonathan Black and Jose Ignacio Montoya.
