State Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a woman at Santa Cruz Lake after picking her up at Camel Rock Casino.
The man, whose first name was identified as “Rick” in dispatch logs, allegedly left the victim at the scene after raping her Feb. 21 inside a black two-door Chevy truck, according to State Police Capt. Daniel Lovato and dispatch logs.
A vehicle matching that description was stopped by Tesuque Tribal Police shortly after the alleged incident, but the driver was released after he did not match the description of the suspect, Lovato said.
Lovato said he did not know whether the victim was given a sexual assault examination at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe as is customary for rape victims.
