A 60-year-old Hernandez man committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest Monday night, according to State Police.
Johnny Roybal’s body was found by his brother James in a camper on his Hernandez property, State Police Capt. Daniel Lovato said. A .38 caliber revolver was found near his body, according to dispatch logs.
State Police criminal agents determined there were no signs of foul play surrounding the death, Lovato said.
Roybal’s family did not return a call for comment.
