Josefina Bustos Lujan,
age 93, a resident of Jaconita, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2009, following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ruben Lujan; parents, Victorino and Clarita Gallegos; daughters, Amelia Bustos, and Mabel Lujan; sisters, Cleotilde Lujan, and Ninfa Roybal. Josefina was also preceded in death by her second husband, Maximilliano Bustos. She was a member of the Holy Family Society and a member of the El Rancho Senior Citizens, she was also a lifelong member of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe parish. Josefina is survived by her daughters, Cecilia Lujan and husband Jimmy; sons, Delfino Lujan and wife Tina, George Lujan and wife Velma, Eugenio Lujan and wife Shirley, Michael Lujan and wife Lorraine, Alfred Lujan and wife Ruth, and son-in-law, Horace Bustos. Josefina is also survived by her step-children, Abel Bustos, Larquin Bustos and wife Mary, Stephen Bustos and wife Helen, Mabel Bustos, and Mabel Espinosa; 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2009 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with the following serving as pallbearers, Alfred, Michael, Andy, Gene, and Glen Lujan, and Horace Bustos. The remaining grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
