EFREN “NERF” MARTINEZ,
49, a resident of Cordova, went with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Efren lost his 13 1/2 year battle from a coma as a result of an electrical accident while working for Los Alamos National Laboratory. He was preceded in death by his father, Cipriano Martinez Sr. and brother, Cipriano Martinez Jr. Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife, Gloria Ann Martinez; sons, Marcos J. and Antonio M. Martinez all of Nambe; mother, Pablita Martinez; brothers, Benito Martinez and wife Priscilla, David Martinez all of Cordova and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends. Cremation is being planned. A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 31, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cordova Presbyterian Cemetery.
