Hopewell Lake, near Tres Piedras, will host a children’s fish fiesta Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Children ages 11 and under are invited to have a fun learning experience in fish biology, fishing skills and outdoor ethics.
The Lake is located on Highway 64, 20 miles west of Tres Piedras.

Rio Nutrias Ranch in Tierra Amarilla has been accepted as a new member of the American Angus Association.
The national breed registry organization is headquartered in Saint Joseph, Mo. With nearly 33,000 active adult and junior members, it is the world’s largest beef cattle registry association. Its computerized records include detailed information on nearly 16 million registered Angus.
