Funding Cuts Threaten Preschool

(SUNfoto by Chris McGuinness) Las Cumbres Community Services Human Resources Director Megan Delano stood Monday in the playground of the Conjunto Preschool in Española. The school’s funding stream is set to be cut off in March with no guarantee that it will return next fiscal year. Conjunto is one of only three no-cost therapeutic preschools in the state, which specialize in working with children with physical or behavioral problems, as well as children from low-income households.
