Escalante Takes Second in Spirit Competition

(SUNfoto by George Morse) The Escalante High School cheerleaders performed in the Cheer competition at the State Spirit Competition March 26 at the Santa Ana Star Center. The Lobos finished second in Class A Cheer, scoring 422 points. Members of the team include (not in order): Elizabeth Marino, Leah Herrera, Lauren Armijo, McKenzie Ulibarri, Danielle Gonzales, Victoria Zamora, Anjelica Herrera, Margaret Archuleta, Tracie Binion, Devonique Lujan, Andrea Madrid, Jeremy Atencio. The cheerleaders are managed by Arriana Herrera and coached by Becky Martinez (see story Page B3).
