Sundevils Strong in District, Tied for 2nd with Bernalillo

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Española Valley’s Ryan Fresquez hurdled over Los Alamos catcher Zeke Zumbro to score for the Sundevils in the seventh inning of the second game of a doubleheader April 23 at Española. The Sundevils rallied to score three runs, but couldn’t overcome an 8-0 Los Alamos lead and lost 8-3. The Sundevils are in second place in District 2AAAA and finish the regular season facing Bernalillo Saturday in a key doubleheader.
