Roybal Leads Pack for Elks

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Pojoaque Valley senior Sam Roybal crosses the finish line in third place at the Capital City Invitational cross country meet Sept. 24 in Santa Fe. Roybal was the top finisher for the Elks, who won the team title for the second straight year, scoring 39 points. District 5AAA rival St. Michael’s was second and Pecos third. Pecos’ Antonio Varela ran away with the individual title, finishing first by 45 seconds.
