(SUNfoto by George Morse) Pojoaque Valley’s Ericka Chavez was the winning pitcher in the Elkettes’ 8-6 victory over the Capital Jaguars in the second game of a doubleheader March 13 at Pojoaque. The Elkettes defeated Capital in the first game 14-9 and improved to 2-1 on the season. Pojoaque lost both games of a doubleheader March 16 to Bloomfield 9-1, 17-3, to fall to 2-3 on the season.
