(SUNfoto by Bill Rettew Jr.) Firefighters stamped out a brush fire near the Medanales Bridge July 2. Rio Arriba County fire marshal Jerome Sanchez said the fire was likely sparked by children who’d been observed tossing fireworks from the bridge.
