Española police officers, firefighters and medics observe a moment of silence in memory of the 9/11 attacks Tuesday. Interim Police Chief Stephen Branch said Española service members have joined emergency service departments from across the nation in holding the moment of silence at exactly 8:30 a.m. every anniversary since the attacks 11 years ago.
