Lobos’ Second Half Rally Not Enough

(SUNfoto by George Morse) McCurdy quarterback Eric Vigil gets tackled by Escalante’s Cody Casados and an Escalante teammate in the Bobcats’ 54-46 victory over the Lobos Nov. 2 in Tierra Amarilla. Vigil ran for a touchdown and passed for two more scores before leaving the game with an injury in the second quarter. Backup quarterback Santiago Lovato replaced Vigil and ran for two touchdowns and threw three touchdown passes, the last one to Randy Trujillo for the a touchdown that gave McCurdy a 54-46 lead.
