North Bests South in Allstar Showdown

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Escalante’s CJ DeYapp howls in celebration after leading his team through post-game jumping jacks after the North defeated the South 49-12 at the 6-man/Class A North-South All-Star game June 7 at Milne Stadium in Albuquerque. DeYapp and three of his Escalante teammates played for the North. McCurdy’s Eric Vigil (right, Number 3) was also selected to the North All-Star team, but could not play because of an injury. He called plays for the North from the sidelines. Four of Vigil’s McCurdy teammates played for the North.
