(SUNfoto by George Morse) Española pitcher Jordan Vigil didn’t allow a hit and struck out eight of the 10 batters he faced against Santa Fe American at the District One Little League 10- and 11-year-old tournament June 29 in Española. Española beat Santa Fe 27-0 and in the second game of the double elimination tournament June 30 defeated Santa Fe 18-4 to win the district championship and advance to the Little League 10- and 11-year-old state tournament July 20 in Clovis.
