Spañapalooza, a free event focusing on teens, will celebrate its 12th year Saturday in Valdez Park from noon to 6 p.m.
A drug- and alcohol-free event, Spañapalooza provides live music, an opportunity to showcase local talents, and informational booths relevant to issues facing young people in the region.
Live music is provided by Skull Control Records, PO.10.Cee, Friend2Foe, Stab Nancy, DJ Mile5, Kauses To Become, Willow and Nox2THA.
There will be a skate demonstration, activities for children and free food.
The organizing body of Spañapalooza state they host the annual event to collaborate with local institutions, pool shared resources and address the challenges communities face as a group. Spañapalooza is independent and does not carry an agenda outside of empowering young people who must find a collective voice.
