(SUNfoto by Ardee Napolitano) Española Police Department Officer David Luginbuhl inspects a car that careened off the side of the road, Sept. 18, into a ditch on Calle Chavez, across from Rivera Funeral Home, while the male driver sits on the curb. According to the E-911 dispatch log, the driver of the wrecked black Volkswagen drove into the railing and then into the ditch, after an altercation with Diana Quintana, the driver of a Mitsubishi Gallant. The male driver allegedly “tried to get away from her.” Nobody was seriously injured and the male driver sustained a scratch on his arm, the dispatch log states.
