(SUNfoto by Wheeler Cowperthwaite) Española Police Sgt. Jeff Martinez (left) watches Anthony Vandervossen (center, left) examine his son Bryan Vandervossen’s motorcycle, after a crash, May 22, in front of Wal-Mart. Martinez said Bryan Vandervossen had a green light, south on Riverside Drive, when the unnamed driver of a white SUV turned in front of him. He said the SUV driver will be cited. Bryan Vandervossen, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to the Española Hospital. He had no memory of the crash, according to E911 Dispatch Center logs. Anthony Vandervossen said his son is still recovering and hurts all over.
