Police Blotter: Leaving Children Alone Almost Leads to Accident

Española Police Det. George Martinez stands with a woman involved in a head on collision in front of Dandy’s Burger on Sept. 24. The driver of the gold vehicle James England drove north on South Riverside Drive, crossed the median and over two lanes of traffic and hit the green van in the far right turn lane. England received one citation for reckless driving and another for driving without insurance. He was treated for injuries on the scene.
