Española Fire Department officials told city councilors they would like the Council to consider an ordinance to charge businesses for multiple false alarm calls. Department Lt. Ron Padilla said the Department has responded over a dozen times to some businesses, and that without a financial impact, it is unlikely business owners will make changes to fix alarm malfunctions or other issues.
