City Approves Nearly $70k for New Street Dept. Equipment

Española city councilors at their Oct. 12 meeting approved the purchase of a new Bobcat Skid-Steer loader to replace this one. The new Bobcat will come with a 2-year or 2,000 hour warranty, whichever comes first. Streets Manager Elijah Mares said the replacement will cost $44,097.12. Councilors also approved the purchase of a John Deere wood chipper, for $24,850.
