The football game between Española Valley High School and Pojoaque will be played without fans on Friday.
After a “threat” the school exercised caution and opted to close the game to the public.
Española Public Schools wrote in a press release, “Due to a recent threat, and out of an abundance of caution, Española Valley and Pojoaque High Schools have jointly decided not to allow fans at the Española Valley-Pojoaque football game on Friday, October 27, 2023.”
The game is moved from 7 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Fans can watch a live broadcast of the game free of charge at nfhsnetwork.com after the schools coordinated with the New Mexico Activities Association to make that a possibility. KDCE will also broadcast the game on radio at 950 AM.
