American Legion
The American Legion members of Post 17 will meet, along with the members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 17, at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 for the monthly general membership meetings. The meetings will be at the Legion, 314 Hunter St. For information about becoming a member and supporting veterans and enlisted personnel, contact Lorena Wigginton at 209-470-0708.
Library events
The Española Public Library will host a story time and kid energy activity from 11 a.m. to noon on Dec. 3. “Elf” is the afternoon movie for Dec. 5 and will be shown at 3:30 p.m. Gino’s Zine Workshop will be from 4-5:30 p.m. Dec. 10. Zines are handmade mini publications that feature stories, poems, sketches, photos and more. All Zine creators need to get started is a couple of sheets of folded paper and a few writing ideas. An inflatable dome will be set up from 3:30-6 p.m. Dec. 11 as part of the Española Planetarium Experience at E-Spana Live Center. There will be a variety of astronomy shows.
