Library Events
There will be a story time and kid energy activity from 11 a.m. to noon on Jan. 21 at the Española Public Library. A Creative Watercolor Workshop by Marcia McEacheon will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon on Jan. 23 and 30. Contact the library at 747-6086 to sign up in advance because space is limited. All materials will be provided. Board Game Day will be from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Jan. 27 and will offer a large batch of board games for the whole family to enjoy. The library will host an afternoon movie, “Night at the Museum.” The movie begins at 3:30 p.m. Jan. 29.
Fiesta Council
The Fiesta del Valle de Española Corporation is asking for anyone interested in joining in to help with the 2026 Española Fiesta in July, or becoming a member, to attend the meeting at 6 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Bond House Museum. Seniors can get help in applying for SNAP, Medicare, Medicare Part D, LIHEAP, the Medicare Savings Program and Medicaid by contacting Mariah Sandoval with the Rio Arriba County Health and Human Services Department at 505-753-2143, ext. 5109. She can check eligibility and help seniors apply for the programs.
