Teen Threatens to Kill If Phone Isn’t Returned

Who Took the Drugs?

May 28

12:10 a.m. A Calle Don Diego caller said a group of drunk people were arguing who’s going to drive and another possibly said they were going to shoot someone.

12:53 p.m. A Hoy Recovery caller needed to file a report in reference to a client’s sexual allegations with a therapist.

1:03 p.m. A Hacienda Home Center caller said a woman keeps following her in her vehicle and she rolled down the window and called her bad names.

2:13 p.m. A caller reported her prescription was picked up from Walmart but she didn’t know who took it. Her doctor told her to file a report.

4:04 p.m. Five people camping on the side of Goodwill refused to leave and were getting belligerent with employees.

6:34 p.m. A caller said her boyfriend hit her daughter and drove off.

7:21 p.m. A Chimayó caller reported two men were walking with an assault rifle.

10:33 p.m. A person was arrested for DWI on Po Pay Avenue and Roadrunner Drive.

Truck in a Tree

May 29

5:28 a.m. A caller reported that a truck crashed into a tree in Abiquiú. New Mexico State Police handled the call but couldn’t get the truck out of the tree.

5:46 a.m. A Chama caller said a 17-year-old boy was irate and yelling that he wants his phone back. He said he will “kill a bitch tonight” if he doesn’t get it back.

10:19 a.m. A Cook’s Mobile Home Park caller reported her shovel is missing and she wants to file a police report.

10:53 a.m. A Spruce Street caller said a man in a car is peeing in the parking lot.

1:40 p.m. A Peak Behavioral Health caller reported a 14-year-old told her she’s being sexually abused by her father.

3:13 p.m. A Taco Bell caller said he was verbally assaulted after he received the wrong order and tried to get it corrected.

3:55 p.m. An Aspen Urgent Care caller reported that people in a car are threatening to hit him with bats.

7:29 p.m. A Ranchitos Park caller said a group of more than 10 children were fighting at the park.

9:35 p.m. A Velarde caller reported the neighbors are harassing him by messing with things and moving them around in his garage. They are also verbally harassing him.

9:37 p.m. A Chama caller said there was a drive-by at a house a few weeks ago and someone is getting threatening messages now.

Casino Creeper

May 30

2:18 a.m. An Ohkay Casino caller reported a man is following women and harassing them.

3:23 a.m. A Cordova caller said there was a fight down a private drive.

8:40 a.m. An Alcalde caller reported a man threw her down and hit her. He left running, then began pushing a moped she believes was stolen.

9:04 a.m. A Rio Arriba County Clerk’s Warehouse caller said a man went in to vote and questioned the process, then got upset because phone are not allowed in polling places.

11:54 a.m. A Hernandez caller reported someone was trying to break into his mother’s house.

12:08 p.m. A North Riverside Drive caller wanted to report some type of drug exchange happening.

1:14 p.m. A Dixon Fire Station #1 caller said a man walked in and reported a chemical spill. The firefighters found a small spill of consumer pesticide.

2:16 p.m. A Dixon caller reported a woman was walking on her property and threatening the caller and saying she’ll take her to court and she’s a lawyer. The caller said it’s been going on for a couple of weeks.

4:40 p.m. A caller said there’s a possible overdose in the north bosque area near the Santa Claran Casino Hotel. Narcan was administered.

5:13 p.m. A man was lying on the ground in Abiquiú, yelling and screaming that he was in pain. An ambulance was called for the man, who was drunk.

6:48 p.m. A burned and abandoned vehicle was found on top of a hill in Velarde.

7:09 p.m. A Lopez Lane caller said a man was in her yard and hiding from the police. A witness said a pregnant woman was dragged out of a house and hit.

8:07 p.m. A man in a vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru was not responding and an employee thought he might be overdosing.

8:52 p.m. The pregnant woman from the previous call on Lopez Lane called 911 and said she’s in the hospital, waiting to be seen. She said her boyfriend hit her and dragged her around the house.

8:58 p.m. An 8-year-old boy went into Walgreens to tell a manager that he found drug paraphernalia in the trash and he threw it away. A manager had him wash his hands and go home.

9:40 p.m. A Dollar General in Española employee was trying to leave work a woman called to say he’s slurring his words and smelled like alcohol.

11:06 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on a drunk man standing in the middle of the road near Speedway.

Shirtless Fire Bug

May 31

Midnight A shirtless man was lighting tumble weeds on fire next to the highway in Velarde.

8:24 a.m. A caller reported a young woman and young man were being suspicious near the Truchas cemetery. The responding deputy said they were paying their respects.

11:48 a.m. A North Monterey Lane and North Riverside Drive caller said she woke up and her windshield was smashed.

12:16 p.m. A North McCurdy Road caller discovered her shed was broken into.

1:12 p.m. A Goodwill caller said homeless people are hanging around, refusing to leave and staying under the semis.

1:14 p.m. An overdose was reported near Sena’s Radiator.

2:03 p.m. A State Road 76 caller said her fence and a pole were damaged by an ambulance.

3:19 p.m. An O’Reilly’s caller reported five homeless people, who were trying to steal batteries, are surrounding a vehicle.

8:26 p.m. A caller said a man is stumbling near Windstream and seems to be very drunk; they don’t want him to stumble into traffic.

11:32 p.m. A Speedway caller said a truck hit her vehicle about 20 minutes ago and fled.

Hood Surfing

June 1

12:23 a.m. An Ohkay Casino security officer was looking for the owner of a motorcycle that was illegally parked under the porch near the main entrance. A man was arrested for battery on a peace officer, resisting and obstructing and possession of drug paraphernalia and a controlled substance.

7:24 a.m. An O’Reilly’s employee got to work and found two people passed out in a vehicle behind the building.

8:29 a.m. A Chamita caller reported a vehicle was driving behind her and someone was sitting on the hood.

1:08 p.m. A Goodwill caller said three or four homeless people are under the trailer and have been asked to leave but have refused.

1:11 p.m. A Calle Borrego caller reported her car was stolen yesterday and found at the Boneyard but they won’t release it without a police report.

2:22 p.m. A La Mesilla caller said the battery to his gate was stolen.

2:42 p.m. A Hernandez caller reported someone tried to steal her automatic gate opener this morning and she wants to file a report.

2:52 p.m. A State Road 369 caller said a battery for an electric gate was stolen out of their car.

7:09 p.m. A Calle Senaida caller reported her daughter’s boyfriend broke into the woman’s trailer and waved a gun in her face, then left and tried to break in again.

10:04 p.m. An Española Pathways caller said two men tried to rape a woman about half an hour ago at a trailer park.

Road Raging

June 2

11:04 a.m. A Big 5 manager reported someone in a car has been throwing trash in the dumpsters; they found mail in the trash belonging to a man.

12:31 p.m. A Hernandez caller said a car crashed into a house and the driver was running from an officer.

2:14 p.m. An Apple Valley Kitchen caller reported a man flashed a gun and pointed it at them, then cut them off.

4:01 p.m. A man’s death was reported on County Road 86A.

4:38 p.m. A caller said a drunk man was at Valdez Park.

5:23 p.m. A caller reported a truck almost hit them as they were turning into Walgreens, then the driver threw a can at a pedestrian on the sidewalk.

7:30 p.m. A NMSP caller requested an ambulance for a woman who had possibly been battered.

Family Feuding

June 3

1:35 a.m. An overdose was reported on Vista del Valle after a man was dropped off and was unresponsive and had shallow breathing. Medics were canceled after it was discovered the man was drunk.

7:50 a.m. A Medanales caller said the batteries to her gate were stolen and the motion light was damaged near her house.

10:15 a.m. An El Parasol caller reported a man in a car was peeling out of the parking lot and calling employees names.

11:02 a.m. A report for breaking and entering was taken at Ojo Caliente housing.

11:15 a.m. A North Riverside Drive caller said three people were smoking drugs near the power box.

12:10 p.m. A caller reported two people fled from a car after it hit a guardrail on El Guique Road and N.M. Highway 74.

3:04 p.m. A man said he got tricked into sending explicit messages to someone over state lines, now they’re trying to extort him for money.

4:49 p.m. A caller reported a man and woman were physically fighting on North McCurdy Road.

7:57 p.m. A caller said a power line was down in front of Walgreens.

9:06 p.m. A Dixon caller reported her uncle has been driving erratically up and down the road and went to her grandson’s school and threatened her son.

11:48 p.m. A Calle Quintana caller said her boyfriend’s brother is drunk and trying to fight the boyfriend.
