City Library Gets Nice $25,000 Surprise

Dignitaries and artists gathered at the Española Public Library the morning of Sept. 25, 2020 to unveil the mural of author Rudolfo Anaya that city staff had recently installed on one of the Library walls. Poet Laureate Levi Romero spoke to an audience that included Anaya’s niece, Belinda Henry, and the mural’s creator, Maya Peña. “The mural is amazing,” Henry said. “It really captures his essence.”
