Santa Fe County Deputy County Manager Tony Flores (center) gets ready to express the County’s opposition to Senate Bill 98, Feb. 10, in the Senate Judiciary Committee at the New Mexico Legislature in Santa Fe. Flores opposed the bill because of an ongoing lawsuit in the Court of Appeals over the validity of a petition calling for part of the city of Española that lies in Santa Fe County, to be annexed into Rio Arriba County. The bill went on to be approved by the New Mexico Senate.
