Dexter Trujillo is the ‘unofficial’ mayor of Abiquiú

(SUNfoto by George Morse) Dexter Trujillo leads a group of peregrinos (pilgrims) up the hill to the Morada de Alto in Abiquiú. The peregrinos are participating in a 100-mile walk, ending at Santuario de Chimayó. Trujillo is a member of the Los Hermanos de Fraternidad Piadosa de Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno. Trujillo was instrumental in having the morada restored.
