Española Military Academy ninth-grader Gerardo Bencomo has received the Superior Junior Cadet Decoration Award, the Academic Excellence Award, the Senior Army Instructor Award and a Certificate of Academic Excellence for Spanish for the 2008-09 school year.
Bencomo is the son of Pedro and Martha Bencomo.
