Escalante’s 2-Year-Old School Falling Apart

(SUNfoto by Lou Mattei) Melting snow has soaked through sections of Escalante High School’s roof, including this part of the school’s front porch. Contractors fixed the exact same problem on the front porch last winter only to have the problem reoccur this winter, Principal Albert Martinez said. Some in the District blame the roof’s design, while others, including state officials, say they don’t know what is causing the leaks.
