• Abiquiú Lake will have a Ranger talk at Riana Campground Saturday 8 p.m. on the natural and cultural environment around Abiquiú Lake.
• Heron Lake State Park will host a program Saturday 8:30 p.m. at the visitors center presented by Chris Judson on “Venom, Rabies and Plague.” The New Mexico Sailing Club will be holding a regatta at Heron Lake Saturday and Aug. 31. A race will be held Saturday beginning at 2 p.m., and there will be a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. A fun distance race will be held Sunday.
• El Vado Lake State Park will host a presentation by Siscily Lederman called, “Wild About Wildflowers,” Aug. 31 at 8 p.m.
