ABIQUIÚ LAKE: The fishing has been slow for all species.
CHAMA RIVER: The water flows Monday morning below El Vado and Abiquiú Lakes were 150 cubic feet per second and 178 cubic feet per second. The fishing below El Vado for a mixed bag of rainbow and brown trout was fair-to-good using spinners, power bait and salmon eggs.
EAGLE NEST LAKE: The fishing was slow but a few good-size trout were taken from the bank by anglers using power bait.
FENTON LAKE: Monday morning about 20 percent of the lake remained free of ice and was open for fishing. The fishing pressure was very light and the fishing was slow.
HERON LAKE: The kokanee salmon snagging was slow over the weekend. The fishing for rainbow trout was good for some anglers fishing near the dam and using corn. A few lake trout were taken trolling deep.
JEMEZ WATERS: The water flow Monday morning on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs was 32 cubic feet per second. The trout fishing on the Rio Cebolla below Fenton Lake and on the Jemez River was fair using worms and salmon eggs.
PECOS RIVER: The water flow Monday near Pecos was 23 cubic feet per second. The trout fishing in the Villanueva area was fair using spinners, worms and salmon eggs.
RIO GRANDE: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 416 cubic feet per second. The trout fishing was slow-to-fair using San Juan worms, wooly buggers, copper john barrs, spinners, salmon eggs and night crawlers.
SAN JUAN RIVER: The water flow Monday morning below Navajo Lake was 470 cubic feet per second. The trout fishing through the Quality Waters was good using egg patterns, small pheasant tail nymphs, sparkle worms, foam emergers, red hots and parachute adams. The fishing through the bait waters was fair using salmon eggs, garlic cheese, power bait and jerk baits.
SANTA CRUZ LAKE: The trout fishing was slow.

Heron Lake: Trason Garcia caught a 20-inch rainbow trout Nov. 26 using salmon peach power bait. Paul Gallardo caught a 34-inch, 11.9-pound lake trout Nov. 27 trolling deep.
