ABIQUIU LAKE: Fishing was slow for all species.
CHAMA RIVER: The water flows Monday morning below El Vado and Abiquiú dams were 53 cubic feet per second and 108 cubic feet per second, respectively. Trout fishing below the Abiquiú dam was fair using salmon eggs, power bait and spinners.
EAGLE NEST LAKE: The lake is open to ice fishing with restrictions. The open area is between the boat ramps and out to the orange flags. The ice in this area was about 14 inches thick Monday. Fishing was slow but there were a few trout, kokanee and perch caught by anglers using ice jigs, salmon eggs and roe sacs.
HERON LAKE: Bank fishing near the La Laja boat ramp was good using power bait and salmon eggs rainbow trout up to 16 inches in length.
JEMEZ WATERS: The water flow on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs Monday morning was 32 cubic feet per second. Trout fishing on the lower Jemez River was fair-to-good using salmon eggs, power bait and copper john bars.
NAVAJO LAKE: There were a few northern pike caught by anglers using suspending jerk baits.
PECOS RIVER: Fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs.
RIO GRANDE: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 544 cubic feet per second. Fishing for trout was slow. Fishing for northern pike was fair using jerk baits and large flies.
SAN JUAN RIVER: The water flow below Navajo Lake Monday morning was 499 cubic feet per second. Fishing through the Quality Waters was fair-to-good using egg patterns, small streamers, parachute adams, leeches and midges. Fishing through the bait waters was fair-to-good using salmon eggs, streamers, spinners and jerk baits.
