ABIQUIÚ LAKE: The fishing was slow-to-fair for walleye and smallmouth bass using jig and grub combinations and minnows.
CHAMA RIVER: The water flows Monday morning below El Vado and Abiquiú dams were 49 cubic feet per second and 316 cubic feet per second, respectively. The trout fishing was slow.
EAGLE NEST LAKE: The lake was closed to ice fishing due to deteriorating ice conditions.
HERON LAKE: The bank fishing for rainbow trout near the La Laja boat ramp was slow-to-fair using Z Rays, power bait and salmon eggs. The fishing from boats was slow but there was one lake trout caught by anglers trolling a crank bait at 60 feet.
JEMEZ WATERS: The water flow on the Jemez River near Jemez Springs Monday morning was 80 cubic feet per second. The fishing for trout on the Cebolla River and the lower Jemez River was fair using worms, salmon eggs and small bead head nymphs
PECOS RIVER: The trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs, worms and small bead head nymphs.
RIO GRANDE: The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 703 cubic feet per second. The fishing was slow and the water was starting to get a bit murky from runoff.
SAN JUAN RIVER: The water flow below Navajo Lake Monday morning was 493 cubic feet per second. The trout fishing through the Quality Waters was fair-to-good using woolly buggers, San Juan worms, leeches, egg patterns, parachute adams, dead chickens and small hair jigs. The fishing in the bait water was good using salmon eggs, power bait, worms, jigs and jerk baits.
