An Española Valley High School student was caught selling prescription drugs Oct. 16 at school, according to a police report.
School security guards saw Samuel Romero, 18, put a Xanax pill on a school bench where Julianna Garcia, 18, was sitting, then observed her put the pill in her pocket, according to an Española Police report. Garcia told Assistant Principal Dolores Guzman she bought the pill for $6, having previously made the payment to Romero.
The Juvenile Probation Officers told police the offense wasn’t severe enough to incarcerate the students, according to the report.
