Isabel E. Oesterreicher,
age 90, went home to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. She was born to Josefa and Santiago Elizondo. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Jimmy (Santiago) and Jesse Elizondo; 2 sisters, Olivia
Fajardo and Rosa Morales; her husband, Frederick Oesterreicher and her son, Fred (Freddy) Oesterreicher. She leaves behind 1 sister, Josephine Abeyta and husband Louis of Tucumari, NM; 2 brothers, Paul Elizondo of El Paso, TX and Victor Elizondo and wife Hazel of Seattle, WA. She also leaves her daughter, Louise Oesterreicher of Española; sister-in-law, Frances Elizondo of Rio Rancho and many loving nieces and nephews. Isabel E. Oesterreicher leaves a legacy rich, in the love of Christ, through the footsteps she left on this earth. She was a good and faithful servant, as well as mother, daughter, sister, friend, aunt and wife. Mom you will be missed. The hole left is a big one, but I know you were tired and hung in as long as you could. Public visitation was on Monday, July 13, 2009. Funeral service was celebrated on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory; burial followed at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are all her nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to The Rock Christian Church and The Valley View United Methodist Church.
