Juanita B. Archuleta
age 81 of Santa Cruz was called home on Wednesday June 24. She was preceded in death by her husband John E. Archuleta, her parents; Jose Isa and Drusilla T. Bustos, her father and mother in law Jose Victor and Mabel Archuleta, her brothers in law Butch Archuleta and Donaldo Archuleta. She is survived by her son John D. “Rocky” Archuleta and companion Lisa Morgan, daughters; Mary Jame Doglione and husband John David, daughter Mellissa Archuleta and husband Jared Sena, brother Jody Bustos and wife Frances, sisters-in-law; Belle Becker and husband Joe, Martha Archuleta, Norma Evans and husband Robert and Yolanda Archuleta. Rosary was recited on Monday, June 29, 2009 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 30, also at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada with interment following at The Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers were Phillip Bustos, Joe Becker, Jr., Tomas Archuleta, Terrance Gallegos, Dennis Gallegos and Jared Sena. Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Bustos and the Española Hospital Auxiliary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the “Janita B. Archuleta Memorial Fund” in care of Valley National Bank, to benefit charity organizations in the community.
