Calm under pressure

It’s often said that a man’s true character is tested during times of crisis and for JMEC General Manager and State Rep. Joseph Sanchez he showed he can thrive under pressure.

District 4 in Española was one of the most adversely impacted by the outages, particularly in Valley Estates, Fairview, and El Llano. During the crisis Joseph was in constant contact with me to assure me that my constituents were safe.

He never got upset with birage of texts and calls and kept me informed exactly what the progress was on restoration. I cannot thank him enough. I know the Co-Op will get criticized, as all entities do in times of crisis, as a former FEMA and Department of Labor employee I know the pain all too well. Joseph handled it with class and strength, the Trustees should be proud of their pick. I look forward to continue working with him.

What sanity?

Let’s just pick out just one ludicrous paragraph from the 11/28/2024 guest opinion written by Victor Davis Hanson. The 13th paragraph stating that “Americans should speak their minds and write what they wish without worry of being censored, blacklisted, ostracized, doxed, or shadow banned — or jailed.”

It’s laughable considering Trump’s campaign rallies where he spoke about going after those who spoke out against him. He has even nominated the people to do just that, Kashyap Patel and Pam Bondi.

Sanity? I’m waiting to see it.
