Police haven’t yet determined what caused the fatal accident that killed a 32-year-old Hernandez man last week.
Julian Atencio, who had been riding a Suzuki motorcycle, died at the scene of a single vehicle crash on State Road 291 in El Llano, State Police Lt. Daniel Lovato said.
The crash was discovered at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 8 but police are not sure if the crash happened the previous night or early that morning.
Atencio, whose direction of travel is not known at this time, had not been wearing a helmet, Lovato said.
Although no evidence of alcohol or drugs were found at the scene, Atencio’s blood was submitted for toxicology testing, as no other explanation for the accident was apparent, Lovato said.
Lovato said it is not known whether excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
