Tell Me a Story

The Rio Arriba Adult Literacy Program presents “Tell Me a Story!” The Power of Storytelling, Workshops with Gino Brazil. Join in for a free workshop where community members will have the opportunity to continue the tradition of creating, writing and sharing cuentos (short stories), myths, legends and personal narratives. The workshop is from 5:30-7 p.m. Feb. 29. Seats are limited so call 505-753-8814 or email read@raalp.org to sign up for the event.

 

Curious About Your Family Tree?

Local Genealogist Dennis Tiede was at the Bond Museum every Wednesday in January from 12-4. It was so popular that it’s being extending through February. He will meet with participants and will guide them on a path to know more about their heritage. It is free. The Bond House Museum is located on the Espanola Plaza at 706 Bond St.

 

American Legion Meeting

The American Legion members of Post 17, at 314 Hunter St., will meet, along with the members of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 17, for their monthly general membership meeting at 6 p.m. March 6.
